Abstract

This paper stands for an application of the noncommutative (NC) Noether theorem, given in our previous work [AIP Proc 956(2007) 55-60], for the NC complex Grosse-Wulkenhaar model. It provides with an extension of a recent work [Physics Letters B 653(2007) 343-345]. The local conservation of energy-momentum tensors (EMTs) is recovered using improvement procedures based on Moyal algebraic techniques. Broken dilatation symmetry is discussed. NC gauge currents are also explicitly computed.

Noncommutative (NC) analogue of classical Noether theorem for field theory within the Moyal algebra framework is considered. Relevant spacetime and gauge infinitesimal transformations are classified and used to formulate a NC version of Noether procedure by the mean of Ward identity operators. As an illustration, the method is performed on the recent Grosse-Wulkenhaar scalar model.

Chern-Simons soliton and a critical study of the energy momentum tensor in noncommutative field theory

We have shown unambiguously the existence of solitons in the non-commutative (NC) extension of Chern-Simons-Higgs model. The analysis is done at the classical level (since solitons are essentially classical objects) and in the first non-trivial order in {theta}, the only spatial noncommutativity parameter. At the same time, we have exposed an inadequacy in the conventional definitions of the energy momentum tensor (EMT) in the present context but this pathology appears to be generic to NC field theories. Noncommutativity in weakly curved background by canonical methods

Using the canonical method, we investigate the Dp-brane world-volume noncommutativity in a weakly curved background. The term 'weakly curved' means that, in the leading order, the source of nonflatness is an infinitesimally small Kalb-Ramond field B{sub {mu}{nu}}, linear in coordinate, while the Ricci tensor does not contribute, being an infinitesimal of the second order. On the solution of boundary conditions, we find a simple expression for the space-time coordinates in terms of the effective coordinates and momenta. Scalar field theory on noncommutative Snyder spacetime

We construct a scalar field theory on the Snyder noncommutative space-time. The symmetry underlying the Snyder geometry is deformed at the co-algebraic level only, while its Poincare algebra is undeformed. The Lorentz sector is undeformed at both the algebraic and co-algebraic level, but the coproduct for momenta (defining the star product) is non-coassociative. The Snyder-deformed Poincare group is described by a non-coassociative Hopf algebra. The definition of the interacting theory in terms of a nonassociative star product is thus questionable. Inequivalence of quantum field theories on noncommutative spacetimes: Moyal versus Wick-Voros planes

In this paper, we further develop the analysis started in an earlier paper on the inequivalence of certain quantum field theories on noncommutative spacetimes constructed using twisted fields. The issue is of physical importance. Thus it is well known that the commutation relations among spacetime coordinates, which define a noncommutative spacetime, do not constrain the deformation induced on the algebra of functions uniquely. Such deformations are all mathematically equivalent in a very precise sense.
