A strategic model for monitoring and tracking the goals of competitiveness and liberalization in the European power Sector

A needed new model should make it possible to conclude whether or not a restructured electricity market produces its desired results and should serve as a tool for formulating energy policy. This proposed model is focused on four basic aspects of electricity competitiveness pertaining to consumers, efficiency, development, and reliability. (author)
