We discuss the structure of {sup 4}He, {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H, {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}He and {sub {lambda}}{sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H. The calculated impulse approximation transition form factor {sup 4}He(e,e'){sup 4}He(0{sub 2}{sup +}) agrees with the available data. It is found that a major part of the energy-weighted E0 sum rule value is exhausted by nonresonant, low-energy continuum states other than the second 0{sup +} state. Precise four-body calculations have been performed for {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}He and {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H taking explicitly into account the NNN{lambda} and NNN{sigma} channels and for {sub {lambda}}{sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H with NN{lambda}{lambda} and NNN{xi} channels included. The role of {lambda}N-{sigma}N coupling in {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}He and {sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H and the role of {lambda}{lambda}-{xi}N coupling in {sub {lambda}}{sub {lambda}}{sup 4}H are important.
