Epithermal neutron activation analysis (ENAA) enabled identification of 31 elements (Na, Mg, Cl, K, Ca, Sc, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Zn, As, Se, Br, Sr, Rb, Sb, I, Cs, Ba, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Tm, Hf, Ta, W) in bottom sediments and bivalve mollusks from different compartments of the man-made lake, the Rybinsk Reservoir (Northern Russia). High concentrations of some heavy metals were observed in both sediments and mollusks in the close vicinity of Cherepovets.
