Lepton flavor violating semileptonic {tau} decays {tau}{yields}lP(V) in a topcolor scenario

The contributions of the neutral top-pion {pi}{sub t}{sup 0} and the nonuniversal gauge boson Z{sup '} predicted by the topcolor scenario to the lepton flavor violating semileptonic {tau} decays {tau}{yields}lP(V) (P={pi}{sup 0}, {eta}, {eta}{sup '} and V={rho}{sup 0}, {phi}) are discussed. We find that the contributions of Z{sup '} to these decay processes are generally larger than those from {pi}{sub t}{sup 0}. {pi}{sub t}{sup 0} can only make the value of the branching ratio Br({tau}{yields}lP) in the range of 1x10{sup -11}-1x10{sup -16}, which is far below the sensitivity of foreseeable experiments. With reasonable values of the free parameters, the nonuniversal gauge boson Z{sup '} can make the value of the branching ratio Br({tau}{sup -}{yields}{mu}{sup -}{phi}) reach 1x10{sup -7}, which might approach the observable threshold of near-future experiments.
