Teachers play a key role in forming the judgement of young generations on major issues facing modem society. For teachers to discuss nuclear energy at school in a broad and balanced context, they need proper training and information on methods and tools available. A multidisciplinary approach of the subject is desirable. A substantial experience in this field already exists in OECD countries, but access by teachers to information regarding training opportunities and material available should be improved.
