The presence of electrical conductance anisotropy in pressed pellets of solid electrolytes with a layered structure is shown using FeH(SO{sub 4}){sub 2}4H{sub 2}O as an example. Texturing in these samples is studied using the direct pole figure method. It is shown that the difference in conductivity measured parallel and perpendicular to the pressing direction is determined by a change in the averaged path of the proton transfer. Conductivity of FeH(SO{sub 4}){sub 2} {center_dot} 4H{sub 2}O crystals along the b axis is estimated. It is (7.7 {plus_minus}0.9) x 10{sup {minus}5}S/cm.
