The Materials Project

Be is Magnesium structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Be is bonded to twelve equivalent Be atoms to form a mixture of corner, edge, and face-sharing BeBe12 cuboctahedra. There are six shorter (2.21 Å) and six longer (2.26 Å) Be–Be bond lengths.
