Gd2CdTl is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Gd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Cd and four equivalent Tl atoms. All Gd–Cd bond lengths are 3.54 Å. All Gd–Tl bond lengths are 3.54 Å. Cd is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Gd atoms. Tl is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Gd atoms.
