Title: Materials Data on Yb3N2 by Materials Project

Yb3N2 is Corundum structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R-3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb2+ is bonded to four equivalent N3- atoms to form a mixture of distorted edge and corner-sharing YbN4 trigonal pyramids. There are two shorter (2.39 Å) and two longer (2.49 Å) Yb–N bond lengths. N3- is bonded to six equivalent Yb2+ atoms to form a mixture of distorted face, edge, and corner-sharing NYb6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedra tilt angles range from 48–63°.
