Title: Materials Data on Te4Mo3 by Materials Project

Dataset ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.17188/1309175· OSTI ID:1309175

Mo3Te4 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Mo+2.67+ is bonded to five Te2- atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing MoTe5 square pyramids. There are a spread of Mo–Te bond distances ranging from 2.75–2.89 Å. There are two inequivalent Te2- sites. In the first Te2- site, Te2- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Mo+2.67+ atoms. In the second Te2- site, Te2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Mo+2.67+ atoms.
