Title: Materials Data on YbZn2 by Materials Project

YbZn2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Imma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Yb is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to twelve equivalent Zn atoms. There are a spread of Yb–Zn bond distances ranging from 3.10–3.31 Å. Zn is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Yb and four equivalent Zn atoms. There are three shorter (2.61 Å) and one longer (2.75 Å) Zn–Zn bond lengths.
