Materials Data on B12W by Materials Project
WB12 crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. W6+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to twenty-four equivalent B+0.50- atoms. All W–B bond lengths are 2.72 Å. B+0.50- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to two equivalent W6+ and five equivalent B+0.50- atoms. There is one shorter (1.65 Å) and four longer (1.77 Å) B–B bond length.
