Title: Materials Data on CsNaTe by Materials Project

Dataset ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.17188/1263489· OSTI ID:1263489

CsNaTe is Matlockite structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/nmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cs1+ is bonded to five equivalent Te2- atoms to form distorted CsTe5 trigonal bipyramids that share corners with twelve equivalent NaTe4 tetrahedra, corners with four equivalent CsTe5 trigonal bipyramids, edges with four equivalent NaTe4 tetrahedra, and edges with eight equivalent CsTe5 trigonal bipyramids. There are one shorter (3.97 Å) and four longer (3.99 Å) Cs–Te bond lengths. Na1+ is bonded to four equivalent Te2- atoms to form NaTe4 tetrahedra that share corners with four equivalent NaTe4 tetrahedra, corners with twelve equivalent CsTe5 trigonal bipyramids, edges with four equivalent NaTe4 tetrahedra, and edges with four equivalent CsTe5 trigonal bipyramids. All Na–Te bond lengths are 3.19 Å. Te2- is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to five equivalent Cs1+ and four equivalent Na1+ atoms.
