Title: Materials Data on LaCuO3 by Materials Project

LaCuO3 crystallizes in the trigonal R-3c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. La3+ is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine equivalent O2- atoms. There are three shorter (2.44 Å) and six longer (2.74 Å) La–O bond lengths. Cu3+ is bonded to six equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing CuO6 octahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 20°. All Cu–O bond lengths are 1.98 Å. O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three equivalent La3+ and two equivalent Cu3+ atoms.
