Materials Data on U2BiN2 by Materials Project
U2N2Bi is alpha bismuth trifluoride-derived structured and crystallizes in the tetragonal I4/mmm space group. The structure is three-dimensional. U is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to four equivalent Bi and four equivalent N atoms. All U–Bi bond lengths are 3.42 Å. All U–N bond lengths are 2.25 Å. Bi is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent U atoms. N is bonded to four equivalent U atoms to form a mixture of edge and corner-sharing NU4 tetrahedra.
