Materials Data on CrP by Materials Project
CrP is Modderite structured and crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cr3+ is bonded to six equivalent P3- atoms to form a mixture of distorted face, edge, and corner-sharing CrP6 pentagonal pyramids. There are a spread of Cr–P bond distances ranging from 2.31–2.41 Å. P3- is bonded in a 6-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Cr3+ atoms.
