TbIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tb is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form TbIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent TbIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InTb4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent TbIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InTb4In8 cuboctahedra. All Tb–In bond lengths are 3.30 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Tb and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InTb4In8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InTb4In8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent TbIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InTb4In8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent TbIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InTb4In8 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.30 Å.
