Materials Data on Ba2N by Materials Project
Ba2N is trigonal omega-like structured and crystallizes in the trigonal R-3m space group. The structure is two-dimensional and consists of three Ba2N sheets oriented in the (0, 0, 1) direction. Ba is bonded in a distorted T-shaped geometry to three equivalent N atoms. All Ba–N bond lengths are 2.79 Å. N is bonded to six equivalent Ba atoms to form edge-sharing NBa6 octahedra.
