U.S. high schools and middle schools are now eligible to participate in the Department of Energy Energy-Related Laboratory Equipment (ERLE) program. This program enables educational institutions to acquire high-quality surplus laboratory equipment from the Department’s National Laboratories.

School representatives may review the available equipment list on the ERLE Search for Equipment page and complete an online application form. The ERLE website is hosted by the DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI).
