ADDENDUM TO APPENDIX A
Because the list of "Actual and Potential Privatization Projects" listed in Appendix A was developed in the January - April,
1996, time frame, we thought it would be useful to provide the reader with an update on the status of each project. You will
note that a "Status" column has been added with codes assigned to each project. The codes are defined as follows:
Status Code
1. Project already initiated, i.e. contract awarded or action commenced;
2. Project budgeted for Fiscal Year 1997, but not yet initiated;
3. Project budgeted for Fiscal Year 1998;
4. Under active consideration (Headquarters review, if appropriate, in progress, and stakeholder and labor input has been initiated);
5. Preliminary conceptual idea (consultation with stakeholders and labor has not been initiated);
6. No longer under consideration
The list of projects identified in Appendix A represents a snapshot in time, and does not include new initiatives developed
since that time, such as several Environmental Management projects included in the Fiscal Year 1998 budget submission. In
addition, the status of projects may change as new information becomes available. For information regarding these and other
privatization initiatives, please contact the following individuals:
