ADDENDUM TO APPENDIX A

Because the list of "Actual and Potential Privatization Projects" listed in Appendix A was developed in the January - April, 1996, time frame, we thought it would be useful to provide the reader with an update on the status of each project. You will note that a "Status" column has been added with codes assigned to each project. The codes are defined as follows:

Status Code

1. Project already initiated, i.e. contract awarded or action commenced;

2. Project budgeted for Fiscal Year 1997, but not yet initiated;

3. Project budgeted for Fiscal Year 1998;

4. Under active consideration (Headquarters review, if appropriate, in progress, and stakeholder and labor input has been initiated);

5. Preliminary conceptual idea (consultation with stakeholders and labor has not been initiated);

6. No longer under consideration

The list of projects identified in Appendix A represents a snapshot in time, and does not include new initiatives developed since that time, such as several Environmental Management projects included in the Fiscal Year 1998 budget submission.
