An exact solution to the Einstein equations with a shear-free imperfect-fluid source is obtained. The solution approaches a locally flat Robertson-Walker one in the large-{ital t} limit and thus serves as a viable candidate for a realistic cosmological model. The model built out of this solution is found to be free of horizon, entropy, and flatness problems.

Thixotropy without viscosity: A new approach to rheology control of oil muds

A new oil mud additive which imparts thixotropic properties to oil base muds has been developed and field tested. This new product is used in combination with an organophilic clay and imparts gel strength to oil base fluids without the corresponding increase in plastic viscosity. The use of this new amide resin is especially useful in developing thixotropy in oil emulsions drilling fluids using low viscosity mineral oils. On a new approach to the modeling of viscosity in hysteretic systems

In the previous paper the authors have proposed to use the classical Preisach model driven by stochastic inputs as a model for viscosity in hysteretic systems. In this paper, the authors further extend this approach by utilizing the nonliner (input dependent) Preisach model of hysteresis. This model is more general than the classical Preisach model, however its treatment encounters some technical difficulties. As a useful by-product, the authors also investigate the viscosity phenomenon in Stoner-Wohlfarth type particles.
