We compare the predictions of the superscaling approach (SuSAv2) model including two-particle two-hole meson-exchange currents with the recent JLab data for inclusive electron scattering on three different targets (C, Ar, and Ti). The agreement is very good over the full energy spectrum, with some discrepancy seen only in the deep inelastic region. The 2p2h response, peaked in the dip region between the quasielastic and Δ-resonance peak, is essential to reproduce the data. We also analyze the k_F (Fermi momentum) dependence of the data in terms of scaling of the second kind, showing that the 2p2h response scales very differently frommore »« less

We suggest a phenomenological description of hypernuclear {sigma}-{omega} Dirac mean-field theory, where the meson-baryon vertices are based on the quark model with relativistic corrections. While the model is shown to be in agreement with the {sigma}-{omega} model for regular nuclei, large tensor {omega}{ital YY} couplings are derived for {omega}-hyperon vertices. This coupling, which is negligible for nucleons, is capable of resolving the problem of the small spin-orbit interaction in {Lambda} hypernuclei within the Dirac approach, as was recently shown independently by Jennings. Superscaling analyses of inclusive electron scattering from nuclei are extended from the quasielastic processes to the delta excitation region. The calculations of (e,e{sup '}) cross sections for the target nucleus {sup 12}C at various incident electron energies are performed using scaling functions f({psi}{sup '}) obtained in approaches going beyond the mean-field approximation, such as the coherent density fluctuation model (CDFM) and the one based on the light-front dynamics method. The results are compared with those obtained using the relativistic Fermi gas (RFG) model and the extended RFG model (ERFG). Relativistically invariant two-dimensional models of field theory which are integrable by means of the inverse scattering problem method

A method is proposed for deriving and classifying relativistically invariant integrable systems that are sufficiently general to encompass all presently known two-dimensional solvable models, and for the construction of a few new ones. The concept of ''gauge equivalence'' introduced in this paper allows one to clarify the relation between several different models of classical field theory, such as the n-field, the sine-Gordon equation, and the Thirring model. We study the model of the principal chiral field for the group SU (N). It is shown that at N=3 this model exhibits nontrivial interactions: decay, fusion and resonant scattering of solitons.
