Adiabatic regularisation of power spectra in k-inflation

We look at the question posed by Parker et al. about the effect of UV regularisation on the power spectrum for inflation. Focusing on the slow-roll k-inflation, we show that up to second order in the Hubble and sound flow parameters, the adiabatic regularisation of such model leads to no difference in the power spectrum apart from certain cases that violate near scale-invariant power spectra. Furthermore, extending to non-minimal k-inflation, we establish the equivalence of the subtraction terms in the adiabatic regularisation of the power spectrum in Jordan and Einstein frames.

A high-order spectral deferred correction strategy for low Mach number flow with complex chemistry

This article presents a fourth-order finite-volume algorithm in space and time for low Mach number reacting flow with detailed kinetics and transport. Our temporal integration scheme is based on a Multi-Implicit Spectral Deferred Correction (MISDC) strategy that iteratively couples advection, diffusion, and reactions evolving subject to a constraint. High-order accurate solutions of the point kinetics equations with the spectral deferred correction method

Solving initial value problems with higher-order methods can improve the accuracy of the simulation results or the efficiency of the calculation. In this paper, we apply the spectral deferred correction (SDC) method to solve the initial value problem of the point kinetics equations (PKE). SDC is a stable, robust, and efficient high-order time-integration method capable of an arbitrary order of accuracy.
