The NLO QCD corrections to associate production of squarks and charginos at LHC

In this talk, we present our calculations for the next-to-leading order(NLO) QCD corrections to the cross sections (CS) of the associate production processes pp->gq->q-tilde{sub i}chi-tilde{sub j}{sup +}-+X with q = (u,d) in the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model in the CERN LHC experiments. The NLO QCD corrections can in general provide a 30-40% enhancement to the corresponding cross sections, and significantly reduce the dependence of the total cross section on the renormalization and factorization scales.

Nuclear effects in squark production at the LHC

In this contribution we study the production of squarks. If squarks are found in proton-proton (pp) collisions at the LHC, they might also be produced in collisions involving nuclei (pA and AA collisions). Here we investigate the influence of nuclear effects in the production of squarks in nuclear collisions at the LHC, and estimate the transverse momentum dependence of the nuclear ratios R{sub pA} = (d{sigma}(pA)/d{sub pT})/A(d{sigma}(pp)/d{sub pT}) and R{sub AA} = (d{sigma}(AA)/d{sub pT})/A{sup 2}(d{sigma}(pp)/d{sub pT}). We demonstrate that depending on the magnitude of the nuclear effects, the production of squarks could be enhanced or suppressed, compared to proton-proton collisionsmore » at same energies.« less

Probing the top squark sector of the MSSM with the Higgs boson at the CERN LHC

We propose using the lightest CP-even Higgs boson in the minimal supersymmetric standard model to probe the stop sector. Unlike measuring stop masses in production/decay processes which requires knowledge of masses and mixing angles of other superparticles, our strategy depends little on supersymmetric parameters other than those in the stop sector in a large region of the parameter space. We show that measurements of the Higgs mass and the production rate in the gluon fusion channel, the dominant channel at the CERN LHC, allow for determination of two parameters in the stop mass-squared matrix, including the off-diagonal mixing term.
