Mutual Composite Fermion and Composite Boson approaches to balanced and imbalanced bi-layer quantum Hall system: An electronic analogy of the Helium 4 system

We use both Mutual Composite Fermion (MCF) and Composite Boson (CB) approach to study balanced and imbalanced Bi-layer Quantum Hall systems (BLQH) and make critical comparisons between the two approaches. We find the CB approach is superior to the MCF approach in studying ground states with different kinds of broken symmetries. In the phase representation of the CB theory, we first study the Excitonic superfluid (ESF) state. The theory puts spin and charge degree freedoms in the same footing, explicitly bring out the spin-charge connection and classify all the possible excitations in a systematic way. Boson mapping treatment of atoms-photon systems

A system which consists of A identical atoms, each of them having three atomic levels, and one optical photon is analyzed in terms of an algebraic approach. The symmetries exhibit by the model are used to construct an exact boson mapping of the Hamiltonian. The image-Hamiltonian reduces to a form which contains one boson and two atomic levels.

Finite boson mappings of fermion systems

Boson-fermion mappings for odd systems from supercoherent states

We extend the formalism whereby boson mappings can be derived from generalized coherent states to boson-fermion mappings for systems with an odd number of fermions. This is accomplished by constructing supercoherent states in terms of both complex and Grassmann variables. In addition to a known mapping for the full so(2[ital N]+1) algebra, we also uncover some other formal mappings, together with mappings relevant to collective subspaces.
