Systematic 1{ital /N} corrections for bosonic and fermionic vector models without auxiliary fields

In this paper, colorless bilocal fields are employed to study the large {ital N} limit of both fermionic and bosonic vector models. The Jacobian associated with the change of variables from the original fields to the bilocals is computed exactly, thereby providing an exact effective action. This effective action is shown to reproduce the familiar perturbative expansion for the two and four point functions. In particular, in the case of fermionic vector models, the effective action accounts correctly for the Fermi statistics. The theory also is studied nonperturbatively. Gauge boson mass without a Higgs field: a simple model

A simple, anomaly-free chiral gauge theory can be perturbatively quantized and renormalized in such a way as to generate fermion and gauge boson masses. This development exploits certain freedoms inherent in choosing the unperturbed Lagrangian and in the renormalization procedure. Apart from its intrinsic interest, such a mechanism might be employed in electroweak gauge theory to generate fermion and gauge boson masses without a Higgs sector. 38 refs.

Masses of vector bosons in two-color dense QCD based on the generalized hidden local symmetry

We study the dependence of 'vector' and 'axial-vector' boson masses (mesons and diquark baryons with J{sup P} = 1{sup {+-}} on the baryon density {mu}{sub B} for two-color QCD. We show that the baryonic axial-vector boson has a finite vacuum expectation value (VEV) at the finite {mu}{sub B} where the U(1){sub B} symmetry is spontaneously broken. We also find that the VEV causes the mixing between 'vector' and 'axial-vector' bosons. As a result of the mixing, our model can reproduce the {mu}{sub B} dependence of '(axial-) vector' boson masses shown by the lattice data.
