Modified dark matter (MDM) is a phenomenological model of dark matter, inspired by gravitational thermodynamics. For an accelerating universe with positive cosmological constant (Λ), such phenomenological considerations lead to the emergence of a critical acceleration parameter related to Λ. Such a critical acceleration is an effective phenomenological manifestation of MDM, and it is found in correlations between dark matter and baryonic matter in galaxy rotation curves. Here, the resulting MDM mass profiles, which are sensitive to Λ, are consistent with observational data at both the galactic and cluster scales. The halo dark matter (DM) can be captured by the Sun if its final velocity after the collision with a nucleus in the Sun is less than the escape velocity. We consider a selfinteracting dark matter (SIDM) model where U(1) gauge symmetry is introduced to account for the DM self-interaction. Such a model naturally leads to isospin violating DM-nucleon interaction, although isospin symmetric interaction is still allowed as a special case. Sub-horizon evolution of cold dark matter perturbations through dark matter-dark energy equivalence epoch

We consider a cosmological model of the late universe constituted by standard cold dark matter plus a dark energy component with constant equation of state w and constant effective speed of sound. By neglecting fluctuations in the dark energy component, we obtain an equation describing the evolution of sub-horizon cold dark matter perturbations through the epoch of dark matter-dark energy equality. We explore its analytic solutions and calculate an exact w-dependent correction for the dark matter growth function, logarithmic growth function and growth index parameter through the epoch considered. Indirect dark matter signatures in the cosmic dark ages. I. Generalizing the bound on $s$ -wave dark matter annihilation from Planck results

Recent measurements of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies by Planck provide a sensitive probe of dark matter annihilation during the cosmic dark ages, and specifically constrain the annihilation parameter f_eff<σv>=m_χ. Using new results (paper II) for the ionization produced by particles injected at arbitrary energies, we calculate and provide f_eff values for photons and e⁺e^- pairs injected at keV-TeV energies; the f_eff value for any dark matter model can be obtained straightforwardly by weighting these results by the spectrum of annihilation products.
