Running non-Gaussianities in Dirac-Born-Infeld inflation

We study the non-Gaussianity in the simplest infrared model of the Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) inflation. We show that the non-Gaussianity in such a model is compatible with the current observational bound and is within the sensitivity of future experiments. We also discuss the scale dependence of the non-Gaussianity. In DBI inflation, such a feature can be used as a probe to the properties of the background geometry of the extra dimensions or internal space.

The primordial non-Gaussian parameter f{sub NL} has been shown to be scale-dependent in several models of inflation with a variable speed of sound, such as Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) models. We perform a Fisher matrix analysis of the bispectra of the temperature and polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation and derive the expected constraints on the parameter n{sub NG} that quantifies the running of f{sub NL}(k) for current and future CMB missions. Cosmic strings are topological defects which can be formed in grand unified theory scale phase transitions in the early universe. They are also suggested to form in the context of string theory. SENSEI: First Direct-Detection Constraints on Sub-GeV Dark Matter from a Surface Run

The Sub-Electron-Noise Skipper CCD Experimental Instrument (SENSEI) uses the recently developed Skipper-CCD technology to search for electron recoils from the interaction of sub-GeV dark matter particles with electrons in silicon. We report first results from a prototype SENSEI detector, which collected 0.019 gram-days of commissioning data above ground at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. New Constraint on the Local Relic Neutrino Background Overdensity with the First KATRIN Data Runs

We report on the direct search for cosmic relic neutrinos using data acquired during the first two science campaigns of the KATRIN experiment in 2019. Beta-decay electrons from a high-purity molecular tritium gas source are analyzed by a high-resolution MAC-E filter around the end point at 18.57 keV. The analysis is sensitive to a local relic neutrino overdensity ratio of η<9.7×1010/α (1.1×1011/α) at a 90% (95%) confidence level with α=1 (0.5) for Majorana (Dirac) neutrinos.
