Hidden-charm and radiative decays of the Z(4430) as a hadronic D{sub 1}D{sup *} bound state

We study the Z(4430){sup {+-}} meson within a heavy hadron molecule interpretation where the Z is considered as a bound state of a vector D{sup *}(2010) and an axial-vector D{sub 1}(2420). We give predictions for the strong hidden-charm Z(4430){sup {+-}}{yields}{pi}{sup {+-}}{psi} and {pi}{sup {+-}}{psi}' decay widths and also study the radiative Z{sup {+-}}(J{sup P}=1{sup -}){yields}{pi}{sup {+-}}{gamma} decay properties in a phenomenological Lagrangian approach. Our findings are qualitatively in line with the experimental observation that the {pi}{sup {+-}}{psi}' transition dominates over the {pi}{sup {+-}{psi}} decay mode despite a smaller phase space. Virtual photoproduction of hidden and open charm

The Berkeley-Fermilab-Princeton multimuon spectrometer and the techniques used to analyze the data which it has collected are described first. Limits on the cross section with which possible heavy neutral or doubly charged muons are produced via right-handed charged currents are presented. Turning to heavy-quark muoproduction, the author then outlines the relevant phenomenology, emphasizing the predictions of the vector dominance (VMD) and photon-gluon-fusion models. The first heavy-quark data discussed are the dimuon-mass spectrum observed in trimuon final states, which provides a limit on muoproduction of the UPSILON family.
