The analysis of B{yields}J/{psi}K{sub 2}*(1430) decay mode is complicated by the fact that close to the J{sup PC}=2{sup ++} meson K{sub 2}*(1430), there lie other J{sup PC}=1{sup --} and J{sup PC}=0{sup ++} resonances, K*(1410) and K{sub 0}*(1430) respectively. We show how an angular analysis can be used to isolate the contributions from the different resonances and partial waves contributing to the final state B{yields}J/{psi}K{sub X}, where K{sub X} could be any of the resonance K{sub 2}*(1430), K*(1410) or K{sub 0}*(1430). Search for Tensor, Vector, and Scalar Polarizations in the Stochastic Gravitational-Wave Background

The detection of gravitational waves with Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo has enabled new tests of general relativity, including direct study of the polarization of gravitational waves. Although general relativity allows for only two tensor gravitational-wave polarizations, general metric theories can additionally predict two vector and two scalar polarizations. The polarization of gravitational waves is encoded in the spectral shape of the stochastic gravitational-wave background, formed by the superposition of cosmological and individually unresolved astrophysical sources. Using data recorded by Advanced LIGO during its first observing run, we search for a stochastic background of generically polarized gravitational waves. We determine no evidence for a background of any polarization, and place the first direct bounds on the contributions of vector and scalar polarizations to the stochastic background. In order to examine the gravitational waves emitted from the neutron stars in the tensor-vector-scalar (TeVeS) theory, we derive the perturbation equations for relativistic stars, where for simplicity we omit the perturbations of the vector field.
