The iron-based superconductor is emerging as a promising platform for Majorana zero mode, which can be used to implement topological quantum computation. One of the most significant advances of this platform is the appearance of large vortex level spacing that strongly protects Majorana zero mode from other low-lying quasiparticles. Magnetic properties of the overdoped superconductor La{sub 2-x}Sr{sub x}CuO{sub 4} with and without Zn impurities

The magnetic properties of the Zn-substituted overdoped high-T{sub c} superconductor La{sub 2-x}Sr{sub x}Cu{sub 1-y}Zn{sub y}O{sub 4} have been studied by magnetization measurements and neutron scattering. Magnetization measurements reveal that for Zn-free samples with x{>=}0.22 a Curie term is induced in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility implying the existence of local paramagnetic moments. The induced Curie constant corresponds to a moment of 0.5 {mu}{sub B} per additional Sr{sup 2+} ion that exceeds x=0.22. Combined effect of chemical pressure and valence electron concentration through the electron-deficient Li substitution on the RE{sub 4}LiGe{sub 4} (RE=La, Ce, Pr, and Sm) system

Four members of the RE{sub 4}LiGe{sub 4} (RE=La, Ce, Pr, and Sm) system have been prepared by high-temperature reaction method and characterized by X-ray diffractions. All compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic Gd{sub 5}Si{sub 4}-type structure (space group Pnma, Pearson code oP16) with bonding interactions for interslab Ge{sub 2} dimers. Polarized electronic Raman scattering studies of underdoped and overdoped high-{Tc} superconductors

The authors report on polarized Raman scattering from high-{Tc} superconductors in the Bi{sub 2}Sr{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 8+{delta}} (Bi2212) and HgBa{sub 2}CuO{sub 4+{delta}} (Hg1201) classes, with an emphasis on the effect of superconductivity on the low frequency electronic continuum. The Hg-based materials confirm earlier observations from Bi2212 that the superconducting energy gap 2{Delta} peak is not present in underdoped samples, while its Raman shift is maximum in B{sub 1g} symmetry at optimal doping, and decreases dramatically with overdoping.
