We examine the low scale particle spectroscopy of an SO(10) [or equivalently SU(5)] inspired supersymmetric model with nonuniversal gaugino masses. The model assumes minimal supergravity and contains the same number of fundamental parameters as the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model. Realistic solutions compatible with dark matter and other applicable experimental constraints are shown to exist for both positive and negative signs of the minimal supersymmetric standard model parameter {mu}. We present several benchmark points which will be tested at the LHC and by the ongoing direct and indirect dark matter detection experiments.

Gaugino mass nonuniversality in an SO(10) supersymmetric grand unified theory: Low-energy spectra and collider signals

We derive the nonuniversal gaugino mass ratios in a supergravity (SUGRA) framework where the Higgs superfields belong to the nonsinglet representations 54 and 770 in an SO(10) grand unified theory (GUT). We evaluate the ratios for the phenomenologically viable intermediate breaking chain SU(4){sub C}xSU(2){sub L}xSU(2){sub R}(G{sub 422}). After a full calculation of the gaugino mass ratios, noting some errors in the earlier calculation for 54, we obtain, using the renormalization group equations, interesting low scale phenomenology of such breaking patterns. Relic density in nonuniversal gaugino mass models with SO(10) GUT symmetry

Nonuniversal boundary conditions in grand unified theories can lead to nonuniversal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In R-parity preserving theories the lightest supersymmetric particle is a natural candidate for the dark matter. The composition of the lightest neutralino and the identity of the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle are studied, when nonuniversal gaugino masses come from representations of SO(10). In these cases, the thermal relic density compatible with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe observations is found. Relic densities are compared with the universal case. Mass spectra in the studied cases are discussed.

We study a class of supersymmetric models with non-universal gaugino masses that could arise from F-terms in a general combination of the singlet and adjoint representations of SU(5). We explore models that satisfy present Large Hadron Collider and other bounds, showing how the allowed parameter space is divided into distinct "continents". Regions of parameter space that ameliorate the supersymmetric little hierarchy problem with a small mu parameter include the usual focus point scenario, but also natural areas with much lighter squarks and sleptons.
