Recently we have developed a dynamic mean field theory (DMFT) for lattice gas models of fluids in porous materials [P. A. Monson, J. Chem. Phys. 128(8), 084701 (2008)]. We report Dynamical Mean Field Theory (DMFT) is a successful method to compute the electronic structure of strongly correlated materials, especially when it is combined with density functional theory (DFT). Here, we present an open-source computational package (and a library) combining DMFT with various DFT codes interfaced through the Wannier90 package. The correlated subspace is expanded as a linear combination of Wannier functions introduced in the DMFT approach as local orbitals. Dynamical mean-field theory, density-matrix embedding theory, and rotationally invariant slave bosons: A unified perspective

In this paper, we present a unified perspective on dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT), density-matrix embedding theory (DMET), and rotationally invariant slave bosons (RISB). We show that DMET can be regarded as a simplification of the RISB method where the quasiparticle weight is set to unity. Finally, this relation makes it easy to transpose extensions of a given method to another: For instance, a temperature-dependent version of RISB can be used to derive a temperature-dependent free-energy formula for DMET.

Layered perovskite ruthenium oxides exhibit a striking series of metal-insulator and magnetic-nonmagnetic phase transitions easily tuned by temperature, pressure, epitaxy, and nonlinear drive. In this work, we combine results from two complementary state-of-the-art many-body methods, auxiliary field quantum Monte Carlo and dynamical mean field theory, to determine the low-temperature phase diagram of Ca₂RuO₄. Both methods predict a low-temperature, pressure-driven metal-insulator transition accompanied by a ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition.
