Measurement of the Production Fraction Times Branching Fraction f(b -> \Lambda_b) x B(\Lambda_b -> J/\psi \Lambda)

A new measurement of the b {yields} {Lambda}{sub b} production fraction multiplied by the {Lambda}{sub b} {yields} J/{psi}{Lambda} branching fraction was performed by the D0 experiment using 6.1 fb{sup -1} of p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV. The result of this measurement, f(b {yields} {Lambda}{sub b}) {center_dot} {Beta}({Lambda}{sub b} {yields} J/{psi}{Lambda}) = [6.01 {+-} 0.60 (stat.) {+-} 0.58 (syst.) {+-} 0.28 (PDG)] x 10{sup -5}, represents an improvement in precision by about a factor of three with respect to the current world average. We report a measurement of the observed cross sections of e⁺e^– → J/ψX based on 3.21fb^–1 of data accumulated at energies from 3.645 to 3.891 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider. In analysis of the cross sections, we measured the decay branching fractions of B(ψ(3686) → J/ψX) = (64.4 ± 0.6 ± 1.6)% and B(ψ(3770) → J/ψX) = (0.5 ± 0.2 ± 0.1)% for the first time. The energy-dependent line shape of these cross sections cannot be well described by two Breit-Wigner (BW) amplitudes of the expected decays ψ(3686) → J/ψX and ψ(3770) → J/ψX. Instead, it can be better described with one more BW amplitude of the decay R(3760) → J/ψX. Measurement of the branching fraction and time-dependent $C P$ asymmetry for $B^{0} \to J / ψ π^{0}$ decays

Here, we measure the branching fraction and time-dependent CP-violating asymmetry for B⁰ → J/ψ π⁰ decays using a data sample of 711 fb^–1 collected on the Υ (4S) resonance by the Belle experiment running at the KEKB e⁺e^– collider. The branching fraction is measured to be B(B⁰ → J/ψ π⁰) = [1.62 ± 0.11 (stat) ± 0.06 (syst)] × 10^–5, which is the most precise measurement to date. Measurement of the Ratio of Branching Fractions $B (B_{c}^{+} \to J / ψ τ^{+} ν_{τ}) / B (B_{c}^{+} \to J / ψ μ^{+} ν_{μ})$

A measurement is reported of the ratio of branching fractions R(J/ψ) = B(B⁺_c → J/ψτ⁺ν_τ)/B(B⁺_c → J/ψμ⁺ν_μ), where the τ⁺ lepton is identified in the decay mode τ⁺ → μ⁺ν_μ¯ν_τ. This analysis uses a sample of proton-proton collision data corresponding to 3.0 fb^–1 of integrated luminosity recorded with the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. A signal is found for the decay B⁺_c → J/ψτ⁺ν_τ at a significance of 3 standard deviations corrected for systematic uncertainty, and the ratio of the branching fractions is measured to be R(J/ψ) = 0.71 ± 0.17 (stat) ± 0.18 (syst).more »« less
