As search tools like DOE/OSTI’s federated search continue to provide access to greater quantities of information, the importance of collaboration and trust increases. Organization and study tools need to facilitate group exchange. Groups must also be able to establish authenticity, expertise, and establish common language.

ScienceEducation.gov is a great example of a Web 2.0 crowdsourcing site.  In the spirit of Wikinomics, ScienceEducation.Gov has been configured to open an important national education problem to a mass audience.  Grade level stratification is a term that refers to inconsistent standards in public education.
