LOL @ your poor friend.  Tell him sorry but Google is king. In all seriousness though, at one time ask.com was huge and Yahoo was the biggest site on the web. At one time myspace was huge and facebook was nothing. In time, there will be things past Google. I think you guys are doing an awesome job planning ahead even if it's not conscious intent.
