English: Industry does not give attention to the small domestic or professional market of digital technologies for 3D images. What was done on the XX century by using photographic film is not know available to the common people, though the facilities are even better. Some technique developed in Brasil twenty years ago and the use of conventional domestic photo or video cameras allows fot making pictures and films at home by using digital conversions for editing, and two-color goggles. The anaglyphic technique, the same NASA employs to show Mars images to the public, is not employed in Brazil yet. We must analize the reasons for that. Portugues: A industria nao tem dado atencao ao mercado domestico ou profissional de pequena escala nas novas tecnologias digitais para imagem 3D. O que foi feito ao longo do seculo XX usando filme fotografico nao esta hoje ao alcance das pessoas, sendo que a facilidade de uso e muito maior. Tecnicas desenvolvidas no Brasil ha mais de vinte anos, e o uso de simples cameras convencionais de fotografia e video permitem realizar fotos e filmes caseiros por meio de conversoes digitais na edicao e o uso de oculos bicolor. A tecnica anagifica, a mesma que a NASA usa para mostrar ao publico as imagens de Marte, por exemplo, nao teve espaco no Brasil ainda. Devemos analisar os motivos que podem estar influenciando e os caminhos para mudar isso.

Estudio intrapases de la competitividad global desde el enfoque del doble diamante para Puerto Rico, Costa Rica y Singapur

Resumen Muchos investigadores y economistas han argumentado que los estudios de competitividad del WEF e IMD muestran limitaciones en pequeas economas, ms an cuando estas tienen caractersticas distintas. El objetivo de esta investigacin es estudiar la competitividad de 3 pequeas economas: Puerto Rico, Costa Rica y Singapur. El modelo del doble-diamante de competitividad resulta til a la hora de llevar a cabo esta tarea. La informacin procede de organismos internacionales. Los resultados muestran que Singapur goza de un mayor nivel de competitividad global comparado con Puerto Rico y Costa Rica. Concluimos que Puerto Rico y Costa Rica lucen equilibrados en competitividad, porque internacionalmente Puerto Rico aventaja a Costa Rica en 3 determinantes: condiciones de factores, condiciones de la demanda e industrias relacionadas y de apoyo; mientras que localmente Costa Rica es ms competitivo que Puerto Rico en 3 factores domsticos: condiciones de factores, condiciones de demanda y estrategia de las firmas. Abstract Many researchers and economists have argued that competitiveness studies conducted by WEF and IMD, show limitations in small-economies, even more when they have different characteristics. The objective of this research is to study the competitiveness of three small-economies: Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Singapore. The double-diamond model of competitiveness is useful when performing this task. With data obtain from international organizations. The findings suggest that Singapore shows a higher level of global competitiveness compared to Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. We conclude that Puerto Rico and Costa Rica have similar levels of competitiveness, because internationally Puerto Rico leads to Costa Rica on 3 determinants: factor conditions, demand conditions and related industries. On the other hand, Costa Rica is locally more competitive than Puerto Rico in 3 domestic factors: factor conditions, demand conditions and firm's strategy.

Resumen La investigacin y desarrollo de materiales protsicos destinados a reparar defectos de pared abdominal ha evolucionado y progresado en los ltimos aos, con el fin de encontrar la prtesis ideal. La industria ha ido incorporando nuevos diseos y nuevos materiales, lo que ha provocado cierto desconcierto en el mbito quirrgico, especialmente en el dedicado a la reparacin de defectos en pared abdominal. El cirujano se ve obligado a saber y conocer los nuevos y diferentes materiales existentes en el mercado y, al mismo tiempo, a tener un conocimiento muy preciso sobre los territorios en los que pueden utilizarse. En el presente trabajo hemos procurado adecuar una clasificacin de las diferentes prtesis existentes, correlacionando su comportamiento a nivel tisular con la estructura de estas. Diseamos as una clasificacin, modificada de una previa propuesta por nosotros, que cumple los requisitos en cuanto a estructura y ubicacin del material protsico, anteriormente mencionados. Abstract Research and development into prosthetic materials designed to repair abdominal wall defects has sought to create the ideal prosthesis. Industry has been adopting new designs and new materials and this has generated confusion among surgeons, especially those working in the field of hernia repair. Thus, today's surgeon has a certain obligation to find out about these new existing materials and to acquire in-depth knowledge of the settings in which they can be used. In this study, we develop a classification system for the different prostheses available on the market by correlating their behavior regarding tissue integration with their structure. This classification scheme, which is an updated version of another scheme proposed by us, should enable the surgeon to select the best prosthetic material for a given surgical setting according to its structure.
