NCAR 51 Conference Objectives

The goals of NCAR 51 are to:

• Explore issues of national, as well as operational, importance that have significant bearing on both current and future responsibilities of the R&D community.
  
• Enable R&D executives in government, industry, academia, and independent or nonprofit organizations to identify and exchange views on research goals and policies of national importance.
  
• Encourage cooperation and interaction among R&D leaders in the four sectors.
  
• Foster an informal exchange of information on the planning, direction, and administration of R&D.
  
• Allow conferees to broaden their individual perspectives on the management of the R&D process.
