President, Innovative Ventures Corporation

David G. Beall is president of Innovative Ventures Corporation
(IVC), a not-for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed
Martin Corporation with the mission to help facilitate the
start-up of companies bringing commercially viable technologies
from the Department of Energy Oak Ridge facilities to the
marketplace.
Beall has 34 years of experience encompassing all aspects of
business operations and management, including specific expertise
in the areas of financial management and planning; analyzing,
organizing, and implementing business functions; controlling and
negotiating contracts; outlining and effecting offsets; human
resource management; and marketing and business development.
Prior to his current position, Beall served as director of
business operations for Martin Marietta Corporation. In this
capacity, he established the first wholly owned foreign
subsidiary of Martin, Martin Marietta Canada, Ltd. (MMCL). He was
named president of MMCL in 1994.
Beall also acted as a consultant with Beall & Associates,
Ltd., specializing in day-to-day operations of small businesses,
start-up businesses, and business turnarounds. Before that he was
a business manager for classified military space programs for
General Electric Company and was subsequently loaned to NASA on
the Viking Program connected with scientific exploration of Mars.
Beall and his wife, Ann, live in Oak Ridge. They have two adult
children. His local community interests include the Rotary Club,
Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, United Way Campaign, Easter Seals
Campaign, Boy Scouts of America, and Leadership Oak Ridge.
