Journal Sources
The following sites offer bibliographic information for journal literature in disciplines
relevant to the DOE R&D mission:
U.S. Department of Energy Public Access Gateway for Energy & Science (DOE PAGES) – DOE PAGES provides web access to journal articles resulting from DOE-funded research. These journal articles, sponsored by DOE through a grant, contract, cooperative agreement, or similar type of funding mechanism, are publicly available in concurrence with our Public Access Policy.
Energy Citations Database –
provides free access to bibliographic records for energy and energy-related scientific and technical information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor agencies, the Energy Research & Development Administration (ERDA) and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). The database provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates.
Infotrieve's
Article Finder

SC e-journals (Office of Science access only) provides the Office of Science (SC) management and staff electronic access to the full text of key peer-reviewed scientific journals. Titles are of broad interest to the Department of Energy.
Science Open Access Journals (SOAJ) is a gateway to open access publications in the sciences. Using federated search technology, SOAJ allows the user to search multiple open access publications with a single query. Results are consolidated and returned in relevance-ranked order, and users are directed to the originating sources for access to the full-text documents.
ScienceResearch.com
– provides access via one query to numerous scientific
journals and public science databases. Depending on the source, full-text documents may
be available. In the event full text is not available, an abstract
of the article and a link to the source will be retrieved.
Scirus
– covers scientific information through
ScienceDirect, MEDLINE on BioMedNet, Beilstein on ChemWeb, Neuroscion,
BioMed Central and Patents from the United States Patent and Trademark
Office, and related information on the web.
