Green Impact - Make a difference...
Welcome to the Medical School Green Impact information page and a particular
warm welcome to new members of staff who will receive a link to this information as
part of their staff induction.
The Medical School aims to promote greater environmental awareness by taking part
in the University's Green Impact Scheme which works to achieve improvements in
environmental practice and performance.
The School was the largest participating team and achieved Silver Standard at the
Green Impact Award Ceremony held in March 2011. Two Innovation Awards were
also received and 10 trees have been dedicated through the Woodland Trust at
Penguin Wood, Botany Bay, Linton, Derbyshire. The certificates were presented by
the Vice-Chancellor and are displayed in the Medical School Reception area.
What is the Medical School doing.......?
The Medical School incorporates five academic departments (Cardiovascular Science,
Human Metabolism, Infection and Immunity, Neuroscience and Oncology) and the
School Teaching Office.
