Categorial Language Learning Algorithms

Abstract
We study the Lambek calculus from the perspective of semantic learning. In this
context we identify some (as far as we can judge) comparatively new problems:
1. The traditional priority of syntax over semantics has to be relativized in a learning
situation since we can deduce syntactic information form semantic data and vice
versa.
2. We need a domain theory to deal with partial models of a Lambek calculus.
