The Cameron Conference is held annually to celebrate the quality and diversity of research
conducted by the Biology and Marine Biology Honours students. The conference format is similar to
that of an international scientific conference and includes two sessions of oral presentations and two
ninety-minute poster sessions. Biology professors and instructors, honours supervisors and other
generous individuals provide a potluck lunch for all the participants and guests.
CALL FOR PAPERS:
All students in Biol/Mari 4900 or Biol/Mari 4901/4902 must present a talk or poster at the
conference, the topic of their presentation being their Honours research or, in the case of Honours Co-op
students, their last work term. It is important that all final year students have an opportunity to present
their research in a format similar to that of a formal, international scientific conference, but although the
content is obviously important, the research need not be complete. It is recognised that many projects
will have minimal data and few or no conclusions by early February. Nonetheless, interesting and
