Policy Statement
The University of Regina hazardous materials management policy establishes a framework
whereby the University of Regina can manage hazardous materials in a responsible manner while
maintaining teaching and research missions, and operations. This policy has several purposes:
1. to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (Federal/Provincial acts, regulations,
standards and guidelines and Municipal by-laws) pertaining to hazardous materials
management
2. to ensure protection from hazardous materials for all individuals governed under the
University Safety Policy
