Program Overview
The Health, Recreation & Well-being Leadership Award Program will provide students with the tools to
review and assess their personal well-being. The program will also provide students with the skills and
campus resources to support their journey towards optimal well-being. Participants will take part in a
variety of health, wellness and leadership workshops and/or classes available throughout the year.
Participants will be exposed to areas of leadership development as well as the 8 Dimensions of
Wellness, including: Environmental, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Occupational,
and Financial. Exposure to each of these areas will help participants achieve a more balanced and
healthy lifestyle, as well as assist them in developing desirable and marketable traits sought by
employers. Following completion of the program, participants will receive an Award of Achievement,
signifying their accomplishment in becoming a well-balanced leader.
Program Requirements
In order to receive the award, participants must acquire a minimum of 12 points* by following the
requirements below:
1. Participants must attend 1 workshop/class in each of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness**
