Summary: At present, the Hugh Hodgson School enrolls
approximately 300 undergraduate majors and
150 graduate students. Undergraduate degree
programs include the Bachelor of Arts with
a major in music and the Bachelor of Music
with majors in composition, music education,
music therapy, performance, and music theory.
Graduate degrees include the Master of Arts
with a major in musicology; the Master of Music
in composition, conducting, performance, and
music literature; the Master of Music Education
with a concentration in music education or music
therapy; the Education Specialist; the Doctor
of Musical Arts with majors in composition,
conducting, performance, and music education;
the Doctor of Education with a major in music
education; and the Doctor of Philosophy in
theory, musicology/ethnomusicology, and music
education. Academic opportunities for the
general student include a music minor program
