Job description
Job title: Aimhigher Associate
Responsible to: UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Team
Department: Student and Academic Administration
Location: Varies - as advised by the Outreach and Partnership Team
Duration: October 2009 May 2010
Payment and benefits: 100 overall for e-mentoring 4 mentees (based on a rate of
6.42 per hour this amounts an average of 30 minutes of e-
mentoring per week). 6.42 per hour for all face to face
mentoring and travel time, by agreement in advance.
Activities will be scheduled based on the availability and agreement between the
Aimhigher Associate and the UK Student and Recruitment Outreach Team during the
academic year 2009/10.
Overall Purpose of Job:
To support the UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Team in the implementation of the
Aimhigher Associate Scheme. The scheme aims to promote progression to Higher Education
and to encourage pupils to recognise their full potential as they encounter various transition
milestones.
