Abstract
Data processing systems in business applications typically consist
of a number of database modules and a number of data processing
modules. Upgrading such systems requires changing the functionali-
ties of individual modules. It is therefore necessary to investigate the
impact of these changes. In particular, one must know the data
ow
dependencies between input and output parameters. This is hard in
practice since designers usually do not provide accurate specications
for their systems. In this paper, we present a tool that learns data
ow
dependencies of a processing module by using blackbox techniques on
supplied test data. We have applied the tool on a billing system pro-
vided by our industrial partner.
