Summary: Subject: Info for all students - paying fees, changing courses, labour relations
Hello from Queen's,
We hope your summer is going well! Please take a moment to have a look at the important information
below.
Your tuition and Student Assistance Levy fee is due by September 1. Please check your fee account
summary in SOLUS to see your current amount owing.
Paying your fees
Any additional fees (tuition for courses added during Open Enrollment, student activity fees, residence,
UHIP) are due September 30. For help in understanding your fees, take a look at the Guide to
Registration and Fees and click on "Understanding Your Fees" on the left-hand side.
Students who cannot make the September 1 payment deadline because they are receiving support from
specific sources must complete the Alternate Payment Arrangement form found here, and submit it with
supporting documentation to fees@queensu.ca by August 15. You will be informed within five days if
your request has been approved. For help with the form, click here.
If you chose some or all of your courses in July, you'll have a chance to add, drop, or swap them during
"Open Enrollment" in September (September 1-23). This period used to be called "Add/Drop". Stay
tuned for more information on how Open Enrollment will happen.
Adding, Dropping, and Swapping Courses
Queen's is currently engaged in collective bargaining with faculty and some staff groups. We are
currently planning for a full 2011-12 academic year. For more information, please take a look at Queen's
